Don’t cook it. It was tough and bitter, completely inedible. I think it was perhaps that it was radicchio lettuce. I Have read that grilled radicchio is good but also that is the more well known red curly leaf
Didn’t really want to post this. But it wouldn’t be a real challenge without the failures. No picture of food today. But the pretty radicchio lettuce growing in the garden.
Radicchio is very good for you; It’s bitterness is due to intybin, which stimulates the appetite and digestive system, and acts as a tonic for the blood and liver.
So next time I won’t cook it. We’ll eat it in salad.
